GUIDE
Since we allow access to ALL canons, ALL the time, we've had to apply a lot of restrictions to keep the playing field balanced. We focus more on the central canon of both universes.
Most of our guidelines strictly adhere to set rules that the writers of Marvel and DC constantly break out of convenience. A great example of this is that NO Amazon is able to leave Themyscira. Wonder Woman was able to because she's different, but as for the rest, they're stuck, and yet writers constantly allow other Amazons leaving the island when it suits their needs. This is called convenient writing and it's not allowed here.
NO ORIGINAL CHARACTERS YOUNGER THAN 21. NO KIDS!
NO CHARACTERS FROM PARALLEL DC / MARVEL UNIVERSES OR THE FUTURE! - No Cable, No Kaleb, No Saturn Girl, etc. In this setting the Universe is fixed and Time Travel ALWAYS generates alternate time-lines that will NEVER reconnect with the main time-line. This is a very important rule to follow because it places a restriction on Flash's time travelling ability. Since 'THE FOLD' if Flash attempts to manipulate the time-line he will simply break-off into an alternative reality and he's gone. No more Flash, so we're not going to be having any time-travel stories generating paradoxical time-loops. If these characters to appear in story, it is specifically for an administrative driven plot.
GADGETS - As long as you substantiate the technology and legitimize it with background your character can have whatever kind of gadget you can imagine. You are, however, restricted by basic common-sense, meaning that if you want to have an anti-gravity device you HAVE to ensure that this technology is NOT going to effect the world BECAUSE this tech DOES NOT exist. If it did, it revolutionize everything. It would CHANGE EVERYTHING. You have to consider how your tech will impact the world and find a way to believably eliminate the changes it could make to main-stream science if you want to have it. Nothing is more frustrating than when some character uses technology that no one else seems to have but there's absolutely no explanation behind this limited edition of break-through tech. Bottom line, "KEEP IT REAL".
REALITY WARPING ABILITIES or MANIPULATION OF SPACE ONLY EXIST in relation to Doctor Strange, The Flash, Superman and John Constantine and other similarly 'regulated' characters. Characters like Doctor Manhattan, Vulcan, Grand Master, Silver Surfer, the ‘Phoenix Force’, Celestials, Spectre, Morgan Le Fay, etc., exist but are not openly portrayed in our setting because of the havoc their abilities create in a story-line. Only by special request do we allow these types of characters to come to the foreground. Basically we just don't want characters like these being used to CONVENIENTLY alter the world unless it's required for a well thought out story-line. Remember, NO TIME WARPING exists anymore.
GRAVITY CONTROL - NOPE. We don't allow any characters original or canon with 'Gravity Control' Abilities. We explore this in more detail in POWERS EXPLAINED.
NO DARK ENERGY / SHADOW POWERS - No flailing black tendrils or something that forms black constructs. We are very STRICT about this particular range of powers because they are often abused in the RPG world and make little sense.
NO FUTURE GENERATION CANON - Character’s like Franklin Richards (the ultra, insanely and stupidly over-powered offspring of canons).
WATCHMEN - WE LOVE 'EM! But their time has come and gone. Doctor Manhattan is only used in very special cases by administrative plots. If you want to use them in a story as the "old guard" giving advice or something (perhaps you character is a prodigy), you're more than welcome, but their super-hero days are all but done.
NO AMAZONS (Outside of Themyscira) - Only Wonder Woman can leave the island because she's a god.
NO ASGARDIANS - Asgardians DO NOT commonly frequent Earth. Not without Thor's permission. Those that circumvent his authority are breaking the rules and are thus being criminal. We DO NOT ALLOW Asgardian member characters. They can be used (by request) as sub-characters.
NO HYPERION - He exists, we're just not allowing him at this time, and if/when he does enter the setting.
NO 'AGENTS OF SHIELD TV SERIES' - Simply too much of a tangent to amalgamate into the setting.
NO OTHER KRYPTONIANS - Other than Superman and his cousin Supergirl there are NO OTHERS OF THEIR KIND.
KRYPTONITE COMMONALITY - It's EXTREMELY RARE. You can't make it. Only minute trace amounts exist on Earth.
POWER TRANSFERENCE, LOSS OF POWERS, and SUPPRESSION - This NONSENSE does not exist here. Superheroes just don't LOSE their powers. Even repressing them is extremely difficult because they're part of the their unique genetic make-up. They are their powers. The only abilities that can manipulated in this annoying fashion are magical abilities, which can be nullified by magic. Perhaps a metahuman can mimic an ability but they can't steal it leaving their victim powerless. There is no singular, generic way to eliminate or repress super powers.
NO LANTERN CORPS. We do not wish to expand the setting into this particular area. They exist, but only use them in reference if required. Green Lantern exists but in this setting he is considered to be off-world.
NO HULKS! RED HULK or any other Hulks. (General Ross exists but he is not the Red Hulk)
CAROL DANVERS: Marvel Version Only. Please see CANONS.
ROGUE: The comic version where she steals Captain Marvel's powers DOES NOT EXIST. She is the cinematic version. No super-strength and no flight.
NO INHUMANS.
NO GIFTED TV Series
NO FLASH TV Series
NO SUPER GIRL TV Series
NO FANTASTIC FOUR 2015
NO BIZARRO - We follow the story-line that he's a clone and is therefor disallowed. We wouldn't allow "Bizarro World" to exist anyway.
NO MORBIUS - The story-line of Dr. Michael Morbius has been amalgamated with the Batman story.
NO MS. MARVEL - Kamala Khan
NO ILLUMINATI
ONE SPIDERMAN - There is only ONE Spiderman and he is Peter Parker. No Spider-Gwen. No Scarlet Spider. No Myles. NO SPIDERVERSE. No. No. No. NO! Now, we are not in anyway saying that your original characters cannot be spider-esque. You are allowed to create "Spiderman-like" original characters if you so desire. Just remember that the original Spiderman character has the market cornered and will not be allowed to be superseded.
NO CLONES. Unless otherwise stated in the existing Canons there is NO CLONING allowed. The technology simply does not work. NO OTHER CANON THAT ARE BASED ON CLONING ARE ALLOWED IN THIS SETTING.
NO PARODIES. This means nothing like Thor-Girl, or Venom-Poole nonsense. We are extremely strict about this.
NO GOOFY COMIC-BOOK Characters like 'Squirrel Girl' and 'Howard the Duck'. We are not opposed to humour, simply not in the form of cartoonish characters that cannot be taken seriously. We focus on serious comic-genre writing, not comedic, childish parodies.

These characters exist BUT have restrictions imposed on them.
DEADPOOL: You're allowed to allude to his existence but nothing direct. His character instills a level of comedy we're not allowing to overwhelm the site.
